Gas Pipeline Alert
When complex component failure threatened production at a multi-national oil installation deep in western Siberia, the solution was simple. Activate the emergency drill set-up agreed with Avolus. Our Moscow office alerted the specialist team of engineers based at a sister oil company in southern France, arranged limousine pickups to a private airport near Toulon, and flew them and their equipment direct to Siberia within 12 hours. (Normal commercial routes would have taken 4 days.) Chartering a Hawker 1000 from the Avolus fleet proved the most cost-effective option: production was restored within 3 days, half the anticipated time, and saving millions in threatened revenue.

Film Location Reconnaissance
Like every artist, this prize-winning film director insists on checking every detail for himself. But the more you’re in-demand, the more it becomes a challenge to view locations between shoots. When it became imperative to confirm where he would film his next costume drama, he ordered the only integrated solution: Avolus limousines and helicopters. We collected the director, his cameraman and PA at 5am from his Hampstead home, had them airborne by 6am – and back to his front door 12 hours later. They checked 7 potential locations in north-west England, confirmed 3 strong favourites – with its private cabin, the Sikorsky 76 creates space to talk – even planned establishing shots and local facilities in each location.

Financial Road show IPO
One of the joys of the Single European Market is that investment bankers can launch an IPO simultaneously across multiple stockmarkets. But this Paris-based team believe hands-on selling beats all forms of communications. Pre-launch intelligence suggested a strong appetite for stock in Scandinavia and Southern Europe. So the banking professionals contacted the integrated transport professionals at Avolus. Within 48 hours they had made presentations to private equity groups and stockbrokers in Stockholm, Helsinki, Tallinn – then south to Lisbon and Madrid. Flying in a Cessna Citation from the Avolus fleet even allowed time and stretch-out space for catnaps between presentations.

Wedding Celebration
For this wealthy family, flying cousins from Italy, France, Hungary and Poland to wedding celebrations at their villa near Marbella looked like testing logistics to the limit. In addition, security and privacy were essential as the media were specifically not invited. Then the father of the bride made his best decision of the day: he called Avolus. We ferried party-goers in limousines to carefully selected private airports – and arranged for their chartered jets to land at Malaga airport’s secure airstrip, away from commercial runways and terminals. No less important: guests could freshen up in the washrooms of our Hawker 800XP jets, enjoy a snack specially prepared in the plane’s galley – and change into their amazing frocks on-board ready for the fun.

Golfing Challenge
It started as a bet: how can 4 golfing friends play together on each of 4 Royal Golf Courses in a single day. When it looked as though the idea would be forever bunkered, Avolus brought it to a triumphant conclusion. While our clients made their golfing arrangements, we secured their extraordinary day out in a fast luxurious Bell 222 helicopter, teeing off in a limousine from their homes. Their first fairways were at Royal Dornoch in Scotland, hard by the North Sea. Then south again to the Royal Liverpool. By early afternoon they were playing at Royal St George’s, between Canterbury and Dover. Finally, they sank their last putts of the day at the Royal Norwich – before we took them home again.

Eastern European House Hunting
For a very private Eastern European house-hunting entrepreneur, what mattered most was getting away from the crowds. So his property consultant made Avolus her first port of call. Our integrated road and air services would enable her to show her clients the most remote and desirable houses money can buy – then get them home again in a day. We took the couple by limousine to a private airport, then by chartered jet to a central point in Switzerland to start their search in a Sikorsky 76 helicopter – recommended for avoiding weather delays. At the end of the day: mission accomplished. Their ideal new home was identified from the air, inspected on the ground, and the deal done by email as they flew back.

The daring decision to launch a new band at the same time as their first album demanded a campaign with military precision. For the record company there was only one choice – Avolus Air Force 1: the luxurious travelling phenomenon, sleek as a limousine and equipped like a boardroom on wheels. Its impact attracted the media and the crowds in each town they visited. Even parking wardens stood back to admire, while black glass allowed privacy between photocalls. Wireless internet access and huge flat-screen monitors enabled the band and their publicity team to discuss changes to live performances as they sped between venues. While a luxury shower rooms and catering facilities kept them always fresh and looking their best.
